Medan, Indonesia, August 10, 2023 – Two third-year students of Landscape Architecture at the Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying, University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Afifah Aliyaah Afandi and Umamageswary Murugiah, embarked on a transformative journey by attending the ten-day International Summer Course Architecture 2023 (ISCA 2023) hosted by Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU).
Singapore, 6 Sept 2023 – In a demonstration of cross-border collaboration and architectural prowess, a joint effort between Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore, emerged triumphant at the prestigious International Building Design Competition 2023 (IBDC 2023). Galeri FABU, the creative hub of the Faculty of Environment and Surveying (FABU) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), was established on August 9, 2017, by Y.Bhg. Datin Paduka Ir. Dr. Siti Hamisah binti Tapsir, the then Director-General of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. Following a transformation, the Gallery reopened in November 2022 and is now a vibrant venue for exhibitions, gatherings, events, conversations, and engagement on campus. Out of the 40 participants present at the workshop, Siti Syukriah Binti Khamdan, a PhD student in Geomatic Engineering from UTM’s Faculty of Built Environment & Surveying (FBES), was chosen to represent both UTM and Malaysia. She was given travel support and a daily allowance, which made it possible for her to attend the workshop. Moreover, UTM International and FBES provided financial support and assisted the student in presenting her research on an international platform.
