10 October, 2023 – In a bid to revolutionize the construction sector, the Malaysian Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) has announced a strategic collaboration with the Department of Quantity Surveying, Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying (FABU) Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) to host a seminar on the amended CIDB Form of Contract for Building Works 2022. The main key agenda of the event was to introduce the CIDB Standard Form of Contract for Building Works 2022 Amendments. The seminar also welcomed industry insights and opinion on the perceived challenges for the new amendment.
Johor Bahru, 26 November 2023 – Ipoh, the capital city of Perak, has been declared a ‘City of Music’ by the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN). This recognition is a significant cultural achievement that highlights the city’s rich musical heritage and vibrant creative industry. The successful bid was initiated by Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh (MBI), with substantial support from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
In continuation of the success of the Corporate social responsibility (CSR) program of Theraplay 2.0 and Theraplay 1.0, a new chapter in the Theraplay journey began in May 2023, with Theraplay 3.0, driven by a team of Faculty of Built Environment & Surveying (FABU), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) students. The overarching mission of Theraplay 3.0 continues a commitment of volunteers, transferring knowledge and raising awareness among the public to support the special needs community. The vision of the CSR project is to propose and execute a sustainable therapeutic landscape through cognitive happiness.
