After much discussion and brainstorming, we’ve decided on F&B Creative Hub as our emphasis and typology for our design studio project because Kluang is a township rich in agriculture as well as has a diverse range of cultural foods. We’re looking for a place to bring the community together, aside from focusing on the food and beverage industry, which has a more sophisticated network that incorporates all areas of food production and delivery.
When it comes to Kluang’s economy, which has changed from rubber to palm oil, the province now has some of Malaysia’s largest organic farms. Kluang has become a popular ecotourism destination, with notable farms such as Zenxin, UK Agro, and Kahang Organic Rice Farm. In addition, Kluang is known for its outdoor activities and agriculture. Surrounding the town are farming districts, some of which provide eco-resorts and tours. One of the most well-known is Zenxin Organic Farm, which is likely Peninsular Malaysia’s largest vegetable farm.
