FUN.TA.SEA
Hi! It’s me Saifudin. This will be my first post on this site, and I’m excited to have the chance to talk about my views, ideas, and opinions related to my experience being part of the studio.
Resuming the topic of what is manifesto? A manifesto is a written statement of the issuer’s goals, objectives, or worldview. I believe a manifesto can be anything, including a declaration. It can also take the form of an image, a video, or a physical model. As a designer or architect, I believe that having a manifesto is a really useful tool for me to present my own ideas in a clear and concise manner without having to explain them to others. To some people, it could seem foolish and like a waste of time but for me, it’s a brilliant and clever way to start a design because coming up with a solid idea can take a few days. Why need to go in a rough patch if there is an easier way?
When starting to do a manifesto, if I can describe it, its like a brainstorming phase where you really need to know what you want to do ,what you want people to understand and how to assure them that your idea is gonna work. My kind of workstyle is whenever I’m doing something, I would love to start with a big question and I feel like everyone should do the same. It truly helps me to reflect on myself and build a broad idea of what I want to accomplish.
Above is the process that I went through before finalise my own manifesto. Even if it may not be as good as the others, the most important thing is that it represents me. I always love to insert a part of me in every artwotk that I produce like the colours and graphics. Colorful always be my forte because why choosing black and white if you got many colours exist in this world???
The name FUN.TA.SEA is what I chose to represent my design manifesto. As you can see, it is colourful and intended to portray a young child’s concept of what a marine centre may appear like from their point of view. The big idea of FUN.TA.SEA is to make a place where they can enjoy and realise their dreams. From my perspective, learning is not always comes in a way by reading book and listening to a lecture, but actually it can be more than that. So, my main intention is to make a learning becoming a fun way that a kids would understand and to create awareness on how important marine life would be. My hope is that in future, more architect will put more thought and interprete in their design so that we can create fun, exciting, adventurous learning environment.
