3 minutes of Mersing story

A brief documentary about Mersing conducted by the human and cultural team through interviews with Mersing people. Mersing’s history and unique moniker are explained in the tale board.

The journey to Mersing was great since we could see the flow and shift from urban to rural areas along the route. Mersing has its own personality, and we presume the roundabout is its focal point. The shift may also be examined, as the linear way of travel to Mersing becomes dispersed to the altier path. My first thought about Mersing was huge fishing city with a big domestic tourism. I start the journey in Mersing at 10 in the morning after having a delicous breakfast at Pok Lim Nasi Lemak at Bandar Mersing. The crispyness of fried chicken was alligned with the portion of rice.

Then, while enjoying the breeze on Mersing Beach, take a stroll along the Mersing. Mersing’s architectural aspects represent Malay culture as well as modernist design. The architectural style was thoroughly portrayed in terms of visual viewpoint based on the historical setting. The architectural arrangement is not well managed since we can see from the plan view that Mersing is not in grid arrangement, but the town is well managed with the circulation because we can see that Mersing is also a tourism town and they do not want excessive traffic to the jetty. Furthermore, we can observe that Mersing has minimal traffic, yet there is still significant traffic near the roundabout in the middle of Mersing.

Exploring Mersing is one of the nicest things to do since we can go food searching for Terengganu flavors and see a lot of cultural events. Food searching is an enjoyable experience. The food that we can found here is Nasi Dagang, Keropok Lekor, Roti Canai, Nasi Lemak and so on.
