Puteri Harbour is a developing urban area. It is very friendly for many user especially for pedestrian and cyclist. The idea of having a 15 minutes distance from the residence to the Facilities and shop nearby. I was very stunned by the design of the walkway for the pedestrian and cyclist. It has very wide walkway with seating being put strategically near the main road. I really love the design of wide seating that can be use by anyone who go to there. The location of the seating under the trees also makes it more interesting.
Architecture is about how the people feel when they go to certain places. The precious experience for the people who go to tropical country seating under the tree while having some breeze from the seashore. The location of the site show it is abandoned for a long time maybe starting from the pandemic time where people need to isolate for their health. I start to imagine the surrounding of the Puteri Harbour if there is no Covid 19 in Malaysia. The business of the road and the public transportation that always pick people to certain place. It must be a very chaotic environment. Yet the designer who located all the tree and shading for the people will be use heavily.
The Boat and yacht also will be very busy with tourism. I am really excited on what will happen when Malaysia boarder being open and the tourism start to come to Malaysia again. Creating and design more shading area for the public to use and can easily access for the pedestrian is very crucial in designing especially in hot and humid country. Puteri Harbour also need a central area where the people will come and do beneficial activity such as hello Kitty town in Puteri Harbour a very long time a go before it being move to another place. The nodes should consist a very good impact to the environment as it will educate the people and appreciate the nature more especially the impact of covid 19 towards the nature.
Human need to go outside and communicate with each other. Human involve in many activity weather good or bad. The pandemic cause human to isolate gives positive impact towards the natural ecosystem. But human cannot isolate forever as the covid 19 are facing the end of its era. We should teach human how to apreciate more the surrounding as it is the biggest step towards green and healthy environment in the future.
