Johor Bahru City Centre positioned near the Johor Causeway reflected upon the city itself through its culture and way of life. Being near the causeway to Singapore makes it as the main spot for people who worked on Singapore to locate themselves in the city closest to the causeway as possible for them to go to work every single day. This in a way has created the city to become a transit city for the people who work in Singapore and vice versa. People from Singapore comes to Johor Bahru for a day trip would not wander far and would only prefer to be near the area only.

The Johor Bahru City Centre is not only a transit city but is also rich with the culture and heritage buildings that would definitely attract tourists that are interested to learn more about the effect of having the causeway to Johor Bahru city. Having the Little India and the Indian community around the UTC area, as well as the old heritage building like Bukit Timbalan, and the buildings along Jalan Wong Ah Fook really showcased the mix of the difference of the culture influence to the city.

Being a transit city and positioned close to the causeway naturally reflects the city as a business district and being mainly commercial buildings to cater to the amount of tourists due to the effect of having the causeway to Singapore.
