The course requires students to present an inventory, analysis and discussion of the Bandar Sri Permaisuri (BSP) site. The exercise requires students to visit the site, conduct interviews and record and capture the character and essence of the site. Syahmi from DC Architect, JB and Nabila, a designer and former ThinkCity JB employee, were brought in to facilitate and enrich the stimulating discussions.
In this studio and in groups, students were asked to understand the place not in its current state, but to look at its potential, meaning and spirit, and to agree on its identity to stand out from other surrounding developments, especially Bandar Tun Razak and others in Cheras.
As individuals, students need to speculate on what BSP could or should be in the future, not just speculating based on assumptions, but drawing on available data. Students will present their vision of BSP in a visual manifesto.
