What is going on in Puteri Harbour?

Visiting Puteri Harbour a few weeks ago feels very different compared to the experience I had a few years back. It used to be a constant lively place due to the indoor theme park attraction and restaurants. The pandemic surely made a huge impact on the atmosphere in Puteri Harbour and the business there though some still going strong. Looking on the bright side, the road traffic is not that bad which creates a perfect scene for joggers and cyclists in the early morning.

Puteri Harbour is a new development in Johor and this can be clearly seen in the facilities provided such as wide pedestrian walkways, ample amount of greenery and modern architecture in the area. Slightly reminds me of Singapore – minus the cleanliness. In my opinion, Puteri Harbour still holds a huge amount of potential for a better future and for bringing positive change to Malaysia despite it being a bit run down due to the pandemic.

It could be seen that Puteri Harbour is still trying to attract locals after the lockdown with food and toy stalls put up during the evening and night in Marina Walk. It is a great recreation area with the sea breeze and pedestrian orientated facilities.

During the site visit, my friends and I interviewed a number of people in the area, and have made observations and analysations on the spot. Personally, the site visit to Puteri Harbour has been very helpful for students to study and find out about the current situation of Puteri Harbour with first-hand user experience.
