Site Analysis & Synthesis of Puteri Harbour, Johor.

Puteri Harbour is definitely one of the weird places I have been to in Malaysia. Why do I say it is weird?. It’s because the vibe that I feel when I step into Puteri Harbour feels really different than any other places I have been to in Malaysia. The newly developed commercial area with large pavement and also new high buildings looming around really isolate it from the typical city that I have been in Malaysia. It really resonates with how other countries portray their cities. In a good way, it really makes the connection between the people and the place closer as the community can interact with the facilities of the city easier and much more comfortably. Take the large walkway pavement as an example, this wide walkway encourages people to walk more or even jog around the city. These elements really need to be followed by other cities in Malaysia.

I see a great opportunity. The Puteri Harbour is a place that I see as a medium for developing a creative yet sustainable area for future generations to educate themselves and express their identity as long as it contributes to the development of the community. The demography of the Puteri Harbour itself seems so diverse, these really open up the way to elaborate on the creative progress of development of the city
