As years go by, technologies all around the world has evolved based on users’ demand and also to fulfill the future vision. Of course architecture is one of the most important fields that need new technologies which can give better knowledge and experience to everyone, not only who works and studies in this particular field.

I’ve learned there are a few technologies that has been used all around these years. Not to mention, the evolution of designing floor plans software such as Sketchup, Sweet Home 3D, SmartDraw and many more. However, will this software be as useful as it it now in the future? Some may say yes, it will still be relevant which is true, though. But do you think there will be any improvements in such context to give people who are not in this architecture field to understand better on how floor plans work?

A few companies have taken the game to the next level. They have introduced virtual reality (VR) method, animation and also Building Information Modelling (BIM). These technologies has helped the professionals to design better and faster and also to help others understand on what they’re trying to convey through their design.

One of the popular method for designers to show their work to clients/public is by introducing the 1:1 floor plan scale by projecting it on the floor. As what I’ve researched, I found a few companies that use this method in Australia such as Front Porch Properties and Big Plans.

They claimed that this method can help them to control over the smallest details, give clients better feeling on how their houses will look like, make changes easier and not to forget, it can avoid costly mistakes by any of the party in designing the building.

This is one of the technologies used by people around the world to enhance their architecture skills and make it as a service in business context. However, this is just a tiny bit of what architecture technology in software and method can grow from time to time. We will surely be surprised by what the future can show us.

That is all from me. Before I end this blog, let’s have a look on how Front Porch Properties did their service by using the 1:1 scale. Till next time!
