Fred Turner explain there are 2 possible dominant future that humankind will face in his paper publish in the digital liberalism in the US. The first one is were human will have the ideal utopian, where we all advance in technology, universal wealth, enhanced freedom, revitalized politics, satisfying community, and personal fulfillment. Or we could have what he called “techno-utopianism” where we all live in virtual reality. The technological progress that human have in this future will help to manage or create an order structural and cultural problems.
The second part is where we all live in a future that we call dystopia. In this future, Fred still thinks that human will advance in technology but their privacy is in jeopardy, which means that every person data is on the hands of another person or cyber criminals. The cyber criminal could have hack or take over our critical infrastructure, take control of our smart home device and virtually or physically invade a person’s home and life.
The future that Fred Turner predict might not be the same as our or what we saw in many post a post apocalyptic future movie. But in his opinion this is what might face in the future base on our day to day life that we have today.
LOOKING INTO KLUANG FUTURE
In a ideal future, i would like to think that Kluang city will have a utopia future. Advancing along with it’s iconic coffee culture, the city will also advance in transportation, agriculture and other. The city will have a community hub that provide everything and anything that the people need.
POSSIBLE FUTURE ON TRANSPOTATION IN KLUANG
Today we have electric car, public transportation such as electric train and bus that helps the environment by reducing the carbon footprint. The ideal future of Kluang is that the people will use these type of transportation in their daily life.
These are a few example that we have and what we might have.
Ai transportation in Kluang is one of bright possible future that we might have. Self-driving vehicles for hailing service or delivery service not only help reduce unwanted traffic congestion but also improve road safety and reduce wait times for the people. Other than that we might have drone taxis and drone delivery service that deliver food and item to the people. The pilot-less helicopter that use green reusable energy not only will be able to deliver it to our door but at the same time will be able to combat the carbon emissions, eliminate traffic congestion and reduce the need of expensive infrastructure planning and building.
