In current studio, I am working on the aspect of climate at Kluang in general, together with teammates from other workbases including a foreign exchange student from Indonesia. I was doing the study as usual as what I did previously, referring previous work and look for the data online. We searched climate information at Kluang from the aspect of temperature, wind speed, relative humidity as well as rainfall, and the results are as below, not much different from the site at Medini Iskandar during the last semester:
Basically, Kluang climate is having consistent temperature, high humidity, high rainfall and with moderate low wind speed.
At first, I thought this was a pretty good job done, but when we met as a team to check on our progress, I was surprised by the exchange student from Indonesia, she was using a software named as ‘Climate Consultant’ to work on the climate analysis. There are multiple setting, graph, diagram, data and so on that I could not understand, where these things are pretty interesting when I first looked at it as it included some ways of analyze and synthesize the climate. One of the diagram that I really amazed from this software is the wind rose diagram which pretty looks like a chrysanthemum that able to show the properties of the prevailing wind, including the temperature and humidity.
Due to time constraint, I was unable to learn and explore the software in detail for this studio project in Kluang, hoping that in the future I would have chance to learn and explore the software. Below are some of the diagram or graph too.
