UNDERGRADUATE
Malay Language (Bahasa Melayu):
Students wishing to enrol must have obtained a satisfactory level of both written and oral Malay Language as Malay Language is the primary medium of instruction in UTM. Students who do not meet the Malay Language requirement may be admitted to the university on a provisional basis. UTM provides the facilities for students to learn Malay Language during the duration of their course.
English Language:
Students must also have sufficient knowladge of the English Language. If English is not their native language, students required to submit the official results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or other proof of reading, writing, listening and speaking proficiency in the English Language.
Malaysian University English Test (MUET):
Students are required to register and attend the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) prior to graduation.
POSTGRADUATE
International Student – English Profeciency
Prior to undertaking this academic programmes, international students are required to undertake and successsfully pass an appropriate English Language Training conducted by School of Graduate Studies. You will not need to undertake the Enlish Language course if, in the meantime you meet the University English language requirement as below:
- A Score of not less than 550 in the Test of English as a Foreing Language (TOEFL).
- A minimum overall band score of 0.6 in the British Council IELTS test.
