– The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Accreditation –
Following the accreditation visit by the evaluation panel on the 16 February 2006, The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has accredited the B.QS (Hons) and BSc (Hons) in Construction Programmes for the 2004-2008 academic year. Both programmes are conducted by the Department of Quantity Surveying, Faculty of Built Environment.
In line with the above recognition, the RICS Education Development manager for the Asia Pacific region, Mr. Nick Hudson and the RICS Malaysian representative Madam Oh have visited the department on the 17th January 2007 to meet up with students and briefed them on student membership as well as matters relating to Assessment of Professional Competency. Mr. Nick Hudson also presented the certificates of accreditation for both programmes to the Dean of the faculty.
