Congratulations to Sr Dr. Kamalahasan a\/l Achu from Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying on his election as the\u00a0Chairman of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) Johor Branch for 2019\/2020 session. The installation was announced during the recent Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) Johor Branch Annual General Meeting held at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru on 29 March 2019 (Friday). Sr Dr. Kamalahasan a\/l Achu was previously the Vice-Chairman for the 2018\/2019 session and RISM Johor Honorary Secretary for 2017\/2018 session. During the installation of the new committee members of RISM Johor Branch, 2 of the UTM\u2019s staff members that is also senior lecturer from Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying were also elected as the secretary and treasurer of the organisation. Sr Dr. Tan Liat Choon was elected as the treasurer while Sr Dr. Fara Diva bt Mustapa was elected as the honorary secretary. A total of 12 committee members with full RISM membership which bestows prefix \u2018Sr\u2019 for surveyor were elected with different portfolios consisting three main divisions namely the Property Surveying (PS), Geomatic and Land Surveying (GLS) and Quantity Surveying (QS) including both practitioners and academicians.<\/div>\n
