{"id":18195,"date":"2016-05-17T16:14:29","date_gmt":"2016-05-17T08:14:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/builtsurvey.utm.my\/fabu2024\/?p=17883"},"modified":"2016-05-17T16:14:29","modified_gmt":"2016-05-17T08:14:29","slug":"department-of-urban-and-regional-planning-monthly-seminar-mainstreaming-sustainability-from-concept-into-action-by-dr-irina-safitri-zen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/builtsurvey.utm.my\/fabu2024\/department-of-urban-and-regional-planning-monthly-seminar-mainstreaming-sustainability-from-concept-into-action-by-dr-irina-safitri-zen\/","title":{"rendered":"Department of Urban and Regional Planning Monthly Seminar : Mainstreaming Sustainability: From Concept into Action by Dr. Irina Safitri Zen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">The Department of Urban and Regional Planning (DURP), Faculty of Built Environment (FAB), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru had its monthly seminar entitled \u201cMainstreaming Sustainability: From Concept into Action\u201d, on the 28<sup>th<\/sup> of April 2016 (Thursday), 11.00 am at Seminar Room, B03, FAB.\u00a0 The seminar was presented by Dr. Irina Safitri Zen, a senior lecturer at the DURP.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Dr. Irina began the seminar by revisiting very briefly the emergence of sustainability, the basic concepts of sustainability, the seven common principles of sustainability, sustainable development and Malaysia\u2019s commitment to sustainability.\u00a0 She also spoke on the scope of sustainability, how the scope has changed, the indicators of sustainability and sustainability science.
