{"id":18126,"date":"2010-03-17T17:12:00","date_gmt":"2010-03-17T09:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.utm.my\/fab2\/?p=1571"},"modified":"2010-03-17T17:12:00","modified_gmt":"2010-03-17T09:12:00","slug":"qs-jamboree-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/builtsurvey.utm.my\/fabu2024\/qs-jamboree-2010\/","title":{"rendered":"QS Jamboree 2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">On 5 -7 March 2010, the Junior Organization (JO) of QS Division from The Institution of Surveyors Malaysia has hosted the QS Jamboree 2010 at Jungle Lodge, Hutan Rekreasi Alang Sedayu, Gombak. 15 final year Bachelor of Quantity Surveying students from UTM, Skudai has participated in these 3 days 2 nights event. Other universities and colleges that have been participated in this event were UM, UIA, UiTM Shah Alam, UiTM Perak, UTM City Campus, Inti College, Taylors University College, USM Penang &amp; UTAR. The activities that have been held were \u2018An Evening with Srs\u2019, \u2018Malam Perpaduan\u2019, Mini QS Race, talks by professionals, \u2018Beyond Say &#8211; A Night to Remember\u2019 and Board game \u2018Are you cut to be a Quantity Surveyor\u2019. The students have been led by professional QS to discuss on their career path and what the future holds for QS graduates in \u2018An Evening with Srs\u2019 activity. Other than that, in Mini QS Race, the students have to race against time from one task performing station to the other while executing task related to Quantity Surveying. They have been tested not only for their knowledge in the field but also the ability to work as a team member with students from other Universities or Colleges. This year the QS Race team comprised of a mixture of students from all the participating Universities &amp; Colleges.
