UTM CRC One Day Short Course<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

With reference to the above, UTM Construction Research Centre (UTM CRC) are pleased to announce the organizing of a UTM CRC One Day Short Course, CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY & ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES: ALTERNATIVES& SOLUTIONS<\/b> on the 24th<\/sup>\u00a0January 2015<\/b> at Seminar Room AL-Rushd, DK 2, Blok A, V01, Faculty of Biosciences and Biomedical Engineering, UTM Johor Bahru, Johor.<\/b> We are pleased to inform our course has been approved of 6.5 hours CPD points from BEM.<\/span><\/span>SYNOPSIS<\/strong><\/p>\n
The aim of this short course is to enlighten the participants about the most current and applied research available on Construction Industry and Environmental issues. Alternatives and solutions involving minimal cement usage and maximized use of industrial\/agricultural recyclable materials in green construction will be discussed. The presentations will include salient technical, energy-related, environmental, and economical advantages of using those materials in construction applications. The course will also provide valuable insight to people from utilities and other industries producing recyclable materials. Knowledgeable Professor engaged in using those materials will present state-of-the-art information.<\/span><\/span>OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/p>\n
Discuss the issues related to concrete constituents and environmental impacts, concrete properties, causes of concrete deterioration, alternative solutions to use recyclable agricultural, industrial and natural recyclable materials for sustainable construction industry to reduce cost, energy, natural resources and GHG emissions, and surface repair materials for deteriorated,concrete.<\/span><\/span><\/span>It is our privilege to invite you to join us on this event.
